An Innovative Model for Philanthropy in the Arts – The Success Story of ART NOW
How a group of passionate women is transforming the philanthropic landscape of the Israeli art world
ART NOW is a unique model for supporting contemporary Israeli art, born from the collaboration between a dedicated community of donors and the professional philanthropic management of Keshet DAF.
Leading the initiative are Sharon Brandes and Vered Ilani, who have been actively engaged in the public art sector for two decades.
After 16 years of impactful philanthropic work in Israel’s periphery—including 11 years supporting the Friends Association at Sapir College’s Art School and four years managing the B’shvil Haomanut Foundation, which funded 45 exhibitions in the geographic and social periphery of Israel, they decided to embark on a new journey, together with their committed group of supporters who make this vision possible.
Today, ART NOW unites over 70 women in a unique giving circle that supports the advancement of high-quality art in the periphery and in central Israel. The foundation provides significant grants to artists and art institutions, supports unique projects, and promotes equal opportunities in the Israeli art scene.
"Supporting art in the periphery remains at the heart of our work. However, given the current challenges, the need for assistance exists in all areas of artistic creation. That’s why the foundation will support carefully selected, high-quality art projects across the country, with excellence as our guiding principle."
More than just support – a vibrant, engaged, and influential community!
Donors enjoy exclusive art tours, inspiring meetings, and deep exposure to the world of contemporary art.
