Who am I and why should you learn from me:

I bring extensive experience as a college advisor and counselor, guiding students through the entire U.S. college admissions process, from start to finish.

Over the years, I have successfully supported hundreds of domestic and international students in gaining acceptance to top U.S. universities, including Harvard, Northwestern, Amherst, Dartmouth, Columbia, and many others. Notably, more than two dozen of my advisees have earned full-ride scholarships.

In addition to college admissions counseling, I specialize in tutoring Math, Science, and all sections of the ACT and SAT. I also work closely with students to craft compelling and authentic college admissions
essays. Recognizing that the college application process is both challenging and deeply personal, I take a tailored approach to counseling each student.

By investing time to understand my students’ unique strengths, aspirations, and personal stories, I help them build a standout application and find the best fit university where they can thrive.

My ultimate goal is to empower students to reach their full potential and navigate the admissions process with confidence and success.

About Judy Buchnick, JBE Owner

I hold a degree in English Teaching and a Master’s in Political Science with a specialization in Journalism
and Communications.

I am a certified English teacher with credentials from both the Israeli Ministry of Education and the State
of New Jersey. My professional background includes working as a marketing professional at SanDisk and
serving as a liaison for European R&D programs on behalf of the Chief Scientist of Israel.

Having lived on three continents, I bring a unique global perspective to my teaching. I was born and
raised in South Africa, immigrated to Israel at the age of 12, and have been living in New Jersey since 2011.

I currently teach Hebrew at a private high school while also running JBE Tutoring, a company I founded seven years ago.

At JBE Tutoring, we specialize in private and group lessons for children, teens, and adults. Together with my team of dedicated educators and advisors, we have helped hundreds of students improve their language skills, build confidence, and successfully integrate into both academic and professional environments.
