We will hear an update from Prof. Abu-Rabia Queder about activities at the University since the events of October 7, and plans for the next academic year(s).

  • The Diversity & Inclusion Committee aims to create a culture of diversity and inclusiveness at the University, and to support all members of the University community in their efforts to create a more inclusive and equitable society.

Students Affairs
Co-Chaired by Joanne Moore and Orna Almog, Dean of Students
Members: Naomi OelbaumStéphan Lawi, Terri Alpert, Arieh Kleinman
The Student Affairs Committee invites all members of the Board of Governors to join us, as we will hear from students about their experiences during this exceptional year for BGU and the country. The meeting will be interactive, offering an opportunity to engage with a diverse group of BGU students who will share their experiences from their very personal perspectives (reservists, internally displaced students, overseas students, etc.). We appreciate their willingness to share with us and expect this to be a special opportunity to connect with BGU's students on a personal and extremely meaningful level.

  • The Student Affairs Committee focuses on the non-academic issues that concern BGU's diverse student body. Our goal is to improve students’ experiences on campus and connect them with the goals of BGU by inspiring excellence in non-formal education and strengthening social awareness and involvement in the Negev's communities.

Campus Development
Co-Chaired by Dr. David Breslauer and Udi Lehrman, Deputy Director-General,
Construction and Maintenance
Members: James Breslauer, Harry Saal, Ellen Marcus, Asher Grinbaum, Uzi Rozen
Building the Future: A Comprehensive Overview of BGU Campuses Development – the Campus Development Committee invites all members of the Board of Governors to hear an updated presentation from Udi Lehrman on the progress made since last year on all building projects.
Discussion: Repurposing new and old campus buildings.

  • The Campus Development Committee aims to create a vibrant, sustainable, and functional campus that meets the evolving needs of the University community and the developing ecosystem around it.
